How to Inject Testosterone Intramuscularly (IM)

If you have never given yourself an injection, it is normal to be apprehensive. It is surprisingly easier and less painful than you expect. For detailed step-by-step directions, please refer to the injection documentation provided to you by our physician. If you do not have your copy of these instructions, please contact us and we will forward you a copy. Here is a summary overview of the instructions for your reference:

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and dry with a clean towel.
• Sterilize the top of the vial and use the syringe with a 21G needle to draw up the testosterone to the proper dosage recommended by the physician.
• Recap the 21G needle and carefully twist this needle off the syringe.
• Carefully twist the 25G needle until firmly in place on the loaded syringe.
• This is an intramuscular (IM) injection, so choose an appropriate area (refer to the injection site diagrams provided to you) and disinfect the area with alcohol prep pads.
• Relax the muscle you plan to inject. If you are tense, the injection will hurt.
• Relax your arm holding the syringe and use a quick, yet gentle motion to inject the needle straight into the muscle at a 90-degree angle.
• Do NOT inject yet. Once the needle is firmly in place, pull this syringe slightly back. This is known as aspirating. If blood enters the syringe, you have hit a blood vessel. If this happens, pull the needle out and discard it. Replace the needle and find a new injection site.
• Once you have aspirated and no blood enters, gently push the contents of the syringe until all the oil has entered the desired injection site.
• Pull out the needle and properly discard the needles and syringe.
• Apply a sterile cotton ball or alcohol pad gently to the injection site for 20-30 seconds. You may see a little blood, but if it continues to bleed, hold the cotton ball or alcohol pad for a few minutes until it stops. Apply a Band-Aid if necessary.

* Remember not to refrigerate testosterone.

How to Inject Sermorelin (GHRP-2, GHRP-6) or hCG Subcutaneously (subQ)

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and dry with a clean towel.
• Sterilize the top of the vial and use the 30G insulin syringe to draw up the Sermorelin or hCG to the proper dosage recommended by the physician.
• Choose the area you plan to make the subcutaneous (subQ) injection (refer to the injection site diagrams provided to you) and disinfect the injection area with alcohol prep pads.
• Relax the area you plan to inject and pinch the skin between your thumb and first two fingers to pull the skin away from your body. If you can only pinch 1 inch of skin, then inject at a 45-degree angle. If it is more than 1 inch, inject at a 90-degree angle.
• Relax your hand and use a quick, yet gentle motion to inject the needle under the skin.
• Gently push the contents of the syringe until it has all entered the desired injection site.
• Pull out the needle and properly discard the needle and syringe.
• Apply a sterile cotton ball or alcohol pad very gently to the injection site. You may see a little blood, but if it continues to bleed, hold the cotton ball or alcohol pad for a few minutes until it stops. Apply a Band-Aid if necessary.
